Aquamarine is named for the blue of earth’s waters. This beautiful stone is almost always a light blue and brings the serenity of soothing waters. It is a member of the Beryl family of gemstones and therefore a cousin of the Emerald, which is also a Beryl. Aquamarines tend to be free of inclusions and durable. Brazil is the major source of most Aquamarines. The transparency of the Aquamarine is amazing, as you can just about see right through it, while delighting in the gift of its natural, soft blue.
